"Drunk Down" is the result of months of songwriting and preparation on the part of Louisiana singer-songwriter Dave Powell. While just three songs long, each track builds to epic proportions, from the sparse "Drunk Down", to the jubilant "Haven't Seen You Lately (Lady I Love)", and finishing with the devastating "Shifting Sand", a full electric track that defies everything previously heard on the record, yet builds on its folky foundations.
